FRIDAY 16:00 in Tram No. 7
...We all wear masks, but we put them off at the end of our day...
The action is concepted as a kind of a social game, where people are
given the masks which make them more interesting, gain attention of
other people, and also more selfconfident. They enter a game of watching
at eachother that leads to interaction, comunication, and coming
together of participants.
Mask action as a visual sketch of reality. By giving people the masks,
we are reminding them that it is something that they already carry, that
they have already chosen their own masks (concesly or not). The outfit,
the haircut, even smile and moves all represent something that makes us
as we want to be in the eyes of the of the other people. Those masks
make us more secure and more comfortable about ourselves.
. ..The human face as the most interesting of all of the masks...
Still, the final direction of the game stays open. When we once collect
the attention of others, should we continiue wearing masks? Should we
take them off and reveal the nature? For isn` t the human face the most
interesting of all the masks, and also the model for the most of them?
Interaction with eachother takes a lot, but maybe it`s also giving even
more...
